About "Four boats with lanterns on a quiet river"

About the artwork

Four slender wooden boats drift silently across a green-blue expanse of water. Three of them are lit by a lantern, round and warm like a small sun. The fourth lies in the half-shadow, almost hidden under the canopy. You can only guess whether a light is also burning there. A bright canopy stretches over each boat, almost weightless, as if protecting the light. The figures in the boats are still, submerged, almost as if part of the water.
A large moon stands over the scene, its light mingling with the shimmer of the lanterns. If you look closely, you will discover that the boats barely cast a shadow. And the water seems to glow from within, as if the river itself were part of the dream.

The picture was taken after a night out in Hoi An, Vietnam. There, people place lanterns on the water - a silent ritual between hope and remembrance. I wanted to capture this moment: the feeling that time stands still. No noise, no destination. Just light, water and silence.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
