Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) is a poisonous plant that occurs in the wild in the Netherlands. The flower stems can grow up to 2 meters high. The Dutch name of the flower is derived from its shape, which resembles a thimble. Here we see the beautiful purple flowers in the evening sun.
