A photo art portrait of a French Bulldog, also known as a Frenchie. This one is a brindle colour and is quite a character! He goes to work with his owner and paces around from room to work checking that everyone is working! You can hear his feet on the floor and a slight snuffling sound before he comes in the door.
French Bulldogs are like a Bulldog in miniature and the breed first appeared in Paris in the mid-nineteenth century. As you can tell from the face on this dog, they are full of personality and are very loving. They much prefer to be with their owner than left alone. These dogs were actually bred as lap dogs though this fellow is rather chunky to sit on your knees I think.
This image was created by using my own photograph and working on it digitally using the computer. My aim was to concentrate on the shape of his head and face as that is what you see first when he touches your leg and looks up at you.
