About ‘French Evening Sun’ by Wouter Hoogeveen

A sunset on the south-west coast of France characterised by the mountainous horizon and a semi-overcast sky. The disappearance of the wind just before the sun sets creates a hazy sky that enhances the beautiful play of colours between land and clouds. The large attack footprints in the sand reveal the conclusion of a beautiful, late summer Saturday in November where surfers and beachgoers mix effortlessly. What remains is a lone piece of driftwood as evidence of the autumn storms that have already passed.
