In this tree stump near Slot Zuylen, I found a cute fresh tuft of grass. Spring had only just begun, and now the first fresh greenery can already be found.
The fresh green contrasts nicely with the jagged light brown tree trunk and bare twigs of last autumn.
Slot Zuylen is a castle in the village of Oud-Zuilen near the city of Utrecht. Seen from Utrecht, it lies at the beginning of the Vecht region. The history of the castle begins as early as the 13th century (Wikipedia).
