In autumn, harvesting gets underway in the Betuwe fruit region.
Everywhere you can see the ripe and coloured apples and pears hanging in the trees. In many orchards, people are busy picking this delicious fruit. Large crates are filled and you see them leaving on carts behind a small tractor/tractor towards the barn or auction. There is always something cosy about it; everyone busy harvesting fruit that can then be eaten all winter. Every year.
Everywhere in the Betuwe you find beautiful fruit orchards. About a third of all fruit grown in the Netherlands comes from Rivierenland. That is why this region is also called the fruit garden of the Netherlands! In spring, blossom can be spotted throughout the area. In summer and early autumn is when the fruit is picked.
