A Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis) towers high above me while grazing from a Camelthorn tree. On its head sits an Ox-pecker, giving the image a relaxed and funny look. The Giraffe seems to care little about the presence of the little bird on its head. Perhaps the Giraffe realises that the Oxpecker removes all kinds of troublesome insects and other pests from its skin. I took the photo in the Moremi Game Reserve in northern Botswana.
