Five greylag geese migrate in formation along the clear, blue sky. The stillness of the sky is broken by the rhythm of their wings. Their flight is apt and fluid, as if each bird senses the other effortlessly. This scene evokes something primal, the power of instinct, the rhythm of the seasons, the urge to move. There is something grand in this simplicity: connection and freedom at the same time.
Geese are known for their cooperation during migration, alternating at the head and communicating along the way with distinctive calls. It is a form of caring and endurance that is touching. As they make their way along the vast Dutch skies, they are a reminder of the importance of direction, trust and cooperation - not only in nature, but also in our daily lives.
