General Giraffe A beautiful portrait of a Giraffe in an old general's suit. I make my works all by myself and do not use AI programmes (artificial intelligence). Every detail is applied by myself. Therefore, I can sometimes spend hours creating a particular image.
Giraffes (Giraffa) are a genus of even-toed mammals in the family Giraffidae whose representatives are found in Africa. They are known for their long necks and the pattern of spots on their fur. Together with their closest relative, the much smaller okapi, which has a chestnut-brown body, striped legs and a spotted head, giraffes form the family Giraffidae. The word "giraffe" or "giraffe" comes from the Italian word giraffa derived from the Arabic word zarāfa, which in turn was taken from an African language. The Romans called the giraffe camelopardalis, which literally means "camel leopard". This name is still found in Afrikaans (kameelperd) and formerly also in Dutch (kameelpardel).
