The poppy field at the side of the road was perfect for a photo shoot. The cool colour of the blue dress provided a beautiful contrast to the bright red poppies. The photo was taken early in the morning in soft light without harsh shadows. As the sun was still low in the sky, the model was able to open her eyes without wearing…

Hamburg, Germany

I worked as a freelance photo designer for 25 years. My focus was on fashion and advertising photography. I am also the author of numerous books and articles in trade magazines.
Before becoming self-employed, I worked in marketing for a large camera manufacturer, where I was in charge of public relations.

I discovered my love of photography during my training as a retoucher. This sparked a desire not only to edit photos, but to take them myself.
