The artwork shows the striking glass façade of the Futurium in Berlin - a building characterised by its futuristic architecture and clear geometry. The façade consists of numerous diamond-shaped glass elements that reflect the light and the surroundings in a variety of ways. Trees and neighbouring structures can be seen in the reflections, creating an exciting interplay between architecture and nature.
The inspiration for this work was the visual complexity of modern architecture. I was particularly interested in how perspective, light and reflection can transform a static structure into a dynamic image. The aim was to capture this moment of irritation and fascination - when you no longer know exactly where the building ends and the surroundings begin.
The atmosphere is cool, clear and structured. The picture conveys a feeling of precision and openness at the same time. It invites you to explore the relationship between space, surface and perception.
