The inspiration for this work was the clarity and tranquillity that emanates from bamboo. I am fascinated by how this plant simultaneously stands for flexibility and stability - qualities that I wanted to visualise in a graphically reduced form. The creative process consisted of abstracting the motif to such an extent that it appears almost architectural without losing its organic origins.
The atmosphere is calm, organised, almost meditative. The picture invites you to pause and engage with the structure and rhythm. It conveys a quiet presence - without words, but with effect.
