This photo was taken at UNESCO World Heritage Site Kinderdijk windmills (South Holland, Netherlands). All day it was rainy weather, but around sunset the skies briefly broke open and the sun spread its last golden rays. Combined with the threatening skies from the rain, this gives beautiful contrasts. The sunlight creates a golden glow over the landscape and creates a 'golden curve' in the canal.
