The canals of Haarlem are at their most beautiful when the sun begins to set. The golden hour, also called the magic hour, is a term from photography that indicates the short period after sunrise or before sunset, in which there is more indirect sunlight, making the light more red and softer. Because the sun is on the horizon, the light travels a longer distance through the atmosphere. The blue light is therefore scattered more, making the red light relatively more present. This gives the canals of Haarlem a romantic look.
Once started as 'car spotting', taking your camera out on the street to find nice cars and take pictures of them. It has grown into a big hobby.
