Tuscany shows itself most beautifully in the early morning, when the first golden light softly illuminates the hills and the mist still hangs over the landscape like a veil. In this photo, you can see the distinctive undulations, interspersed with groups of trees and lone cypress trees emerging into the field. What inspired me was the tranquillity and timelessness of this moment: everything seems to stand still for a moment, the world just breathes atmosphere.
I set out especially before sunrise, because it is precisely that soft light and the low-hanging fog that create that typically Tuscan magic. Playing with light and shadow creates layers in the landscape that make you discover something new every time. You feel the warmth of the sun, the fresh start to the day and the promise of new adventures.
