Near the Swedish town of Ryd, you will find the Bilkyrkogården Kyrkö Mosse, which translates as Car Cemetery Kyrkö Mosse. It is a strange place, with a large number of car wrecks rotting in the forest. Someone once ran a car parts business here, but when he stopped doing so, the workshop and cars were left behind. There was no money to remove everything and when all the fluids had been drained from the cars, locals thought it would be interesting to watch these car wrecks slowly decay and sink back into the forest floor. There are cars from the 1940s, through to the 1970s.
As the atmosphere is a bit spooky, it becomes a great photo location. So we stayed there for quite some time to capture this. The forest was also populated by swarms of mosquitoes, so one has to have a go at taking these photos. I am posting the best ones in an album "autorakken" because they are also very nice as a series.
