Goodwin's Court is one of the hidden gems in London that was high on my list to see and photograph. Built around 1627 with beautifully polished black doors and lovely Georgian arched windows. Also striking were the large working gas lamps that can beautifully illuminate the alley. It felt like stepping back in time and there was a lovely atmosphere. I tried to photograph the atmosphere and details as best I could. Each time, I discovered something new.
This alley is considered one of the inspirations for J.K. Rowling's Wegisweg. And I can understand why!
