On holiday in Provence, this naturally invites to take beautiful photos's. I had found this location during a 10 km walk through the Gorges du Verdon, together with my wife. Later figured out when the best light would be here, in the morning or in the evening. That turned out to be the evening, so went back the next evening to take this photo. About an hour before sunset, I sat ready, waiting for what was to come. That seemed to be disappointing for a very long time, until the moment the sun had just set. The sky started turning red and also reflected in the clear blue water. After five minutes it was already over, fortunately I had everything ready to go so I could take the photos'in time.
For this photo, I chose a high perspective to better emphasise the grandeur of the Gorges. For another photo (also available on this site), I opted for a low perspective, in order to properly include the tree on the left in the composition.
