The lake at Dirkshorn (North Holland) was calm this morning, with virtually no wind. The cold night between two warm late summer days caused a layer of fog to form over the water around sunrise. Combined with the middle and high clouds, which were coloured by the rising sun, made for a beautiful morning scene.
On my way to work, I saw all this happening and luckily I had my camera with me. I just had to stop to capture this. I took three photos's, all from a different point of view. In this photo, I chose to photograph the jetty from the other side. This brings more coloured sky into the photo.
I was all alone, so I could fully enjoy the peace and serenity. This photo radiates that too, and therefore fits perfectly in the living room or bedroom, but also in the garden as an outdoor canvas.
