De enige gracht in Amsterdam waarbij het zicht op een kerk zo mooi is. De hevige kou zorgde voor ijs in de Amsterdamse grachten, waarbij hier de Groenburgwal is afgebeeld. Op de Prinsengracht en Keizersgracht werd zelfs geschaatst .
