About ‘Grandmother and child’ by Affect Fotografie

A grandmother is carrying the child of her recently deceased daughter. Her daughter died in childbirth. She belongs to one of the many Adivasi tribes of Odisha, in eastern India. The woman belongs to the Didayi Damsel tribe and is traditionally dressed in white as a sign of mourning.
