This burial mound is the only one left from a row between Borger and Drouwen. Based on the stone pack (from which the mound was raised) the mound can be dated to the Bronze Age, between 2000 and 1200 B.C. The burial mounds were raised along the centuries-old route (footpaths and cart tracks), which runs from north to south, across the Hondsrug.
