About ‘Green Light 3’ by Marjolein Brokke

An abstract work inspired by nature, part of a series of three. It symbolises how light warms the earth and brings about growth and blossoming. The suggestion of dark soil with climbing and hanging plants above creates a warm glow that evokes summer.

A textile artwork I saw gave me the idea to create the background as if it were composed of patches. From there, this series of paintings emerged in various compositional variations. The colours are mainly shades of green and butter yellow with accents of grey, pink and warm red.

It looks stunning in your home alongside grey, green, butter yellow, soft pink and terra.

If you love light, nature and optimism, then this is a piece that will certainly suit you well.

I draw my inspiration mainly from nature, plants, flowers, colour and, above all, light. Light that shines through leaves and petals, casts shadows, sparkles on the water, diffuse, bright, radiant, flowing, reflective…

Colour is light at different frequencies. Light reveals colour. Light reveals everything that is dark and hidden…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
