Sometimes you need look no further than a leaf fanning out in the sun. This plant, caught in bright light, shows an interplay of form, structure and energy.
The lines of the leaf draw your gaze outwards, like rays from the sun itself. There is strength in repetition, calm in simplicity. The veins and shadows form a graphic pattern that becomes almost abstract, but always remains rooted in nature.
I took this picture in the middle of the day, when the light was brightest. The green not only shone with colour, but also with life. Every detail became visible: ridges, dust, tiny imperfections that combine to form one bright image.
This is an ode to the overlooked. To the small that dares to be big. An invitation to dwell on forms you might not even notice otherwise.
Each photograph is a doorway to another world.
Maybe a world you recognise, maybe one you only discover as soon as you look at it.
Sometimes they are fragments of a memory that never really existed, sometimes a feeling you can't put into words.
