Hyker ascending Agung volcano, photographed at 08:43 at about 2900 metres altitude.
Gunung Agung is the highest mountain on the island of Bali at 3142 metres and takes at least 12 hours to hyken up and down. To see the sunrise from the volcano, our hyke started at 00:00 at the foot of the mountain.
The hyke itself was tough, at times with no clear footpaths. Above the clouds, the view was calm and peaceful but the terrain savage and rocky.
