About ‘Halo Willibrord Church’ by Henk Langerak

If you walk past the facades of the houses on Minrebroederstraat during the day, you will see a wealth of details. And before you know it, you will have walked past St Willibrord's Church without realising it. The nondescript facade looks more like a residential house than a large, monumental church. Artist Titia Ex wanted the church to stand out from the gable row once a day with a subtle work of light art that draws all eyes directly to the church at night: a luminous halo as a contrast against the dark sky. Simple and magical at the same time.
