Iceland highlights part 3: Vikurfjara beach
Vikurfjara beach is, if you ask me, my favourite beach on the south coast of Iceland.
On the outward journey of our round trip from Reykjavik to Höfn, we first visited Reynisfjara beach. Here we quickly ran out of things to do because of the many tourists and the basalt formation that in reality looks smaller than what we expected.
On the way back from Höfn to Reykjavik, we decided to make another attempt to visit another beach. This time Vikurfjara beach and how it surprised us.
While golden-hour, we discovered the high cliffs, black beach, beautiful waves and fresh breeze of Vikurfjara beach.
We thoroughly enjoyed getting out on this beach and I can recommend everyone to visit this beach and especially take your camera or drone if you have one.
For us, this photo is a lasting memory of our favourite beach.
