One day in November 2023, when autumn was at its most beautiful, I took a photo of leaves shone by the low-lying sun in the forest near Bergen op Zoom. The colours really popped!
I put that photo into my digital processing machine: a script I wrote in Photoshop that superimposed nine copies transparently at different angles. If anything, the result was even more vivid in colour than the original.
The golden hour, that's what photographers call that time of day when the sun sets everything in a golden glow. Hora Dorada, they say in Spain. I thought it was a great name for this botanical work of art.
My work can be found in the border regions of photography, painting and computer visuals. With my company 3Develop I do work in commission but I use the same techniques, skills and software to make free work.
