On a busy industrial estate somewhere in the polder near Pijnacker one early Sunday morning, I found silence. Buildings beautiful and ugly alternated. When I zoomed in on details of the buildings and let the surroundings disappear from the picture, lines and planes emerged that alternated in harmony. Ugliness disappeared to make way for beauty and harmony. Peace and simplicity prevailed in this industrial area.
