Sander van Laar (44) grew up in the Schepen neighbourhood in Veenendaal. After secondary school, he briefly considered going to Groenhorst College to learn flower arranging. It turned out to be a different direction after all. Sander chose the Graphic Lyceum and continued his education with the school of photography.
But what about his love of flowers...? It remained! He is also called "the best Dutch master of still life".
Sander van Laar is a Dutch master of still-life photography, known for his ability to capture the beauty and essence of his subjects with a level of detail and realism that is truly extraordinary. Sander showed a natural talent for various art forms at an early age and at 30 began studying at the prestigious trade school in Apeldoorn, where the artist graduated cum-laude. Van Laar won a stunning award in 2017 that is the envy of many a photographer.His predecessors included Erwin Olaf, Govert de Roos and Patricia Steur
Sanders' talent and dedication to his craft earned him a reputation as one of the best Dutch masters in still-life photography, and his images were highly sought after by collectors and art lovers around the world.
