A walk on the Zomba Plateau in Malawi. On my guided walk, it is incredibly hot and I can see that the sun is continuing to set. We have to start walking faster or we will never be back before dark. At the same time, I keep stopping constantly as I continue to marvel at the beautiful surroundings.
So many layers are visible in this picture. The trees that seem small, but are actually also very big, are dwarfed by the size of the mountains. An undulating motion the mountains make as if you could slide right off them with a sledge. The sun lets us enjoy the last of the daylight before it too disappears behind the mountains. The photo gives me peace, warmth and satisfaction.
