Hummingbirds see colours we cannot even imagine.
The tiny birds' ability to see colours other than those of the rainbow is "one of the most amazing things I have ever witnessed," said one researcher.
The hummingbird's very fast wing beat (15 to 80 beats per second, depending on the bird's size) allows it to stay still in the air. The fast wingbeat also allows the hummingbird to be the only bird to fly backwards. They can even fly straight up and straight down.
Shot with a 200mm 2.8 for that real bokeh effect!
