hydrangeas -
my garden's
blue and pink phase
Single hydrangea flower is a watercolour painting in portrait format by the artist Karen Kaspar. It shows a single round flower head of a beautiful pink hydrangea with leaves and stem against an abstract background painted in the same shades of pink, purple and blue as the plant.
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetry form consisting of three lines.
Here the watercolour painting has been supplemented with the haiku in English. The painting is also available without text (see album 'Flowers').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
