About the artwork

A colourful enjoyment of this beautiful moorland.

Heath or heather is a name for vegetation consisting mainly of dwarf shrubs in the heather family.
Heather is found in a limited number of countries.

Apart from the Netherlands and Belgium, it is also found in the coastal strip of Western Europe, Britain and Ireland. It is a typical vegetation that feels at home in regions with a maritime climate, with high humidity and not too hot summers and not harsh winters.

The natural distribution of heathland vegetation consists of decalcified parts of the dune landscape (especially in the northern Netherlands), mountains above the tree line and the edges of bogs. Inland heathland is a cultivated landscape created by nutrient extraction through grazing and ploughing of sandy soils.[1]

Pollen-analytical studies show that heathland vegetation always occurred in the interior as well, but the large treeless heaths and sand drifts were created by the intensification of sheep farming during the Middle Ages.[2]

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
