"I'm not looking! Line patterns with warm brown - orange shades" is a photo of 3 pieces of shells with warm browni orange colours, which I found in Lanzarote. In taking this photo, I took a long time to place the subject properly. Because this is a macro photo, you can already see a shift of a few mm. In this photo, I wanted to personify the shell, so to speak. Actually a kind of Anthropomorphism, (Assigning the shell human characteristics). The shell covers its eyes, so to speak, and does not see what is happening. The two other shells look like the hands behind which the shell is hiding. And the ridges seem to take on the lines of fingers.
Because the surface has a reflective property, but is not smooth, it creates a broken reflection. As a result, the shades of colour (and partly the lines) are also reflected in the ground surface.
A picture that has a warm feel in addition to an abstract modern look.
This work could hang beautifully in the bathroom, kitchen or simply in the living room above the sideboard!
