About ‘ I will now go alone’ by Marije du Bateau

Oil painting 44x44cm, Marije du Bateau.
One day, I stopped fighting against myself. I made peace, as an adult, with the child in me. I consoled her for the grief suffered in the past and promised her that I would always be there for her. And instead of clinging to others any longer : "Do YOU understand me? Or YOU then maybe?" , I could now be there for myself, and in that sense stand on my own two feet. It was a fantastic feeling: a deep healing, the beginning of a new journey!!! I saw this image appear: me as a small child in my pyjamas, with my 3 beloved cats, at the beginning of a new journey.
In many of my paintings, I use the same perspective: someone at the front looking at 'the rest of the painting'. In this case, that is the journey ahead of her. In other paintings, it might be a face, or an eye, or some other thing expressing wisdom.X Marije du Bateau

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
