About the artwork
The sea. I don't live far from it, but actually get there too little. While there is often more than enough to see and photograph. And when I am there, it also makes me very happy and calm. Not only because of the finds on the beach and the birds. But also just from the sea itself. The changing rhythm of the waves, the white crests, the sound of the waves skipping ...... wonderful!
But during holidays, I take a bit more time for a beach visit. Like during my midweek on Texel, where I took this photo. The sea had special hues, especially when such a wave skipped. And that combined with the white heads, makes for a nice layered image. Using a slow shutter speed makes the colours and movement stand out even more. And the photo also almost looks like a painting.
A beautiful image for on the wall, not only in your home but also in a company or office.
