What we see when we look at the Moon is different for all of us. We may see nothing or we may see nature within the shadows themselves.
This play on charcoal and black ink, is split to incorporate the mirror effect that the Moon has as it reflects the rays of the sun.
It is believed that the Moon was created when an object, the size of the planet Mars, and the Earth collided. When this happened, the force of the impact sent some of the Earth and the object out into space. These were in turn pulled together by gravity. The result of that bringing together, that union, was our Moon.
Part our home and part universe this print represents the nature, the growth, and the life of our planet and its link to the 'light' in the night sky, the changer of tides, the mysterious and mesmerizing Moon that looks down on us all.
Keep looking, you never know what you may find.
