In the middle of nowhere – winter landscape

by AidasignArt

A winter wonderland where a new mystery awaits around every bend: mighty ice grottos open up amongst snow-covered mountain slopes, frozen waterfalls hang like glass curtains over dark rock faces, and narrow paths wind their way through forests deep in snow. Under a midnight-blue sky, stars and a slender crescent moon twinkle, whilst delicate golden lines criss-cross the layered landscape. The sculptural relief design makes the mountains, valleys and ice caves appear to emerge from the picture almost three-dimensionally. Vibrant ruby red, deep fir green, icy blue and luminous ivory combine to create a dramatic, fairy-tale colour palette. Elegant points of light add golden accents and lend the composition a special depth. This extraordinary work, which combines alpine grandeur with a charming touch of humour, comes from the series ‘The Middle of Nowhere – In the Middle of Nowhere’. For anyone who finds themselves here may indeed be a long way from the nearest signpost – but in return, they are right in the heart of a landscape that invites exploration and a smile.

As a standalone artwork, the relief makes a powerful impression, just as it does when combined with another motif to form a diptych, or with all three works to create a triptych. The wintry scene delights well beyond the Christmas season and accompanies the whole of winter with a fantastic atmosphere and unusual wall art.
