A single rose rises against a bright sky, its petals opening as if in slow motion. But it is not alone in this double photograph - shadows and mirror images interweave with its contours, as if telling of past moments and forgotten summers. The double exposure lends the scene a dreamlike depth in which reality and memory flow into one another. The flower seems at once present and enraptured, firmly rooted in the here and now and yet about to slip into another plane of existence. Light and transparency dance around each other, and the eye loses itself in this fleeting, poetic interspace.
