Ivory and Gold Abstract Painting: Ribbons Dancing Around a Blooming Heart by Surreal Media

Wide ribbons in ivory, silver-grey and soft gold wind across the canvas, sometimes translucent, sometimes with a sheen as if they were silk. They form arches and loops that criss-cross one another, and in the centre something that resembles a flower emerges almost of its own accord, with a heart of ochre, orange and a hint of red. To the left and right, two small golden circles float, round and smooth, like coins or little suns that have lingered. If you look closely, you’ll also see soft streaks of lilac and a few dark, swift brushstrokes that give the whole composition its direction.

I thought of movement coming to rest. Of fabric swirling through the air and coming to a halt at exactly the right moment. It began with the feeling of a light morning when everything is still soft.

The atmosphere is cool and light with a warm core, calm and balanced, as if the work were hanging in a quiet gallery. It is a digital artwork with the appearance of flowing, silky paint, featuring thick strokes and softly blending edges.

For me, it’s about elegance and something that blossoms when you give it space. On the wall, it brings light and air. It suits an interior with neutral tones, marble, linen or brass, and appeals to people who love dance, fashion or flowers. Think of a bedroom, a light-filled living room or an entrance hall.
