Japandi is a popular interior design style in the 1920s. The name Japandi is a contraction of Japan and Scandinavia and therefore has characteristics from both cultures, which are actually surprisingly related despite the physical distance.
Japandi is characterised by simplicity and minimalism and by the use of wood and other natural materials. The colours used are generally light and unsaturated. Japandi interiors therefore radiate calm, warmth, beauty and comfort.
I took some typical colours from that Japandi palette, arranged them from light to slightly darker and added them as a gradient map to an altitude map of our world. The result is this special world map, an asset to any interior.
