About the artwork

The painting entitled 'Voyage of Discovery' encourages one to reconsider the perspective of one's own life or can at least trigger this impulse.

In this oil painting, an astronaut floats aloft. Whether we use the term cosmonaut, spaceman or astronaut in German is merely a matter of designation and does not change the meaning. Normally, a spaceman would fall downwards following the laws of gravity. In the painting, however, this does not necessarily seem to be the case. Rather, the impression is created that the person in the astronaut suit is floating in the air without being able to say exactly where he is coming from.

The title 'Voyage of Discovery' offers various possible interpretations. One of them could be that the spaceman originally comes from Earth, but has discovered a new planet here, which is a fresh and seemingly untouched world. The air seems exceptionally clear and fresh.

Another option would be that we see Earth, but inside the spacesuit is a creature-like being from another planet. For this entity, this place would be a discovery.

Another possibility is that the spaceman has only reached high altitude for experimental reasons and is performing exercises in flying or hovering, which merely changes his perspective, which in a way also amounts to a discovery.

The original oil painting is on a wooden panel and is framed by a solid white wooden frame.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
