Created in my studio with wonderful views over the Italian countryside and loud music (Bhangra I seem to remember), this painting was great fun to make! A paint brush didn't go near it, it was made with building up layers and layers of different colours using a plastering tool. Every now and then I used a hairdryer to encourage the pain to become sticky which created more of a texture to the whole piece. Then I used the same tool to create lines, scratching deep and in some cases back to the white canvas. The name, Just Scratch Beneath The Surface, was perfect for it.
This would look great in a living room, dining room, meeting/conference room or hallway, among others of course. This colour combination will stimulate and encourage debate.
Born in the South of England I now live half way up a mountain in Umbria, Italy. I work from my art studio looking out over fabulous views of the Italian countryside. I am so happy to share my artwork with you.
