About "Kameleon in Colour"

About the artwork

For me, autumn is not a still life, but rather a colour orc - wild, fleeting, crazy. Warmth is not created in the setting, but in the moment that we create. Autumn means change, superimposition and playing with transience. Based on the title of the competition, "Autumn: Tones of Autumn", I looked for a way to translate this energy into a picture. The chameleon carries the colours within itself, it embodies change and adaptation. The word also contains the camel - this linguistic joke turned into an absurd duo that now roams the scene. While the chameleon unleashes autumn with a paintbrush, the camel calmly bears the burden. The colours break up, overlap and tumble through the air like leaves. Real leaves have become part of the work - only visible for a moment before they disappear again. In this way, reality and painting, permanence and transience are combined. Cosiness is not created here by the open fire, but by inner peace: the chameleon remains relaxed, sunglasses on, in the midst of chaos. For me, reflection means breaking the clichés and seeing autumn in a new light. This work was created out of a desire to experiment, humour and the joy of playing with language and symbols. It is surreal, colourful and contradictory - and therefore an honest reflection of the season.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
