View on the old Hanseatic League city Kampen from above during a beautiful summer sunset at the river IJssel in Overijssel.
The city’s layout, a testament to medieval urban planning, shows a grid-like pattern with winding streets and alleys that diverge and converge, reminiscent of its bustling trade days. The mix of narrow townhouses, interspersed with open squares and gardens, presents a harmonious blend of urban and green spaces. Some of these houses, with their stepped gables and ornate facades, hearken back to the prosperity of the Hanseatic era.
