Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Kehna 3’ by Thorsten John

These images show the districts of the municipality of Weimar (Lahn) from a special perspective. All twelve districts were photographed in high-quality aerial shots – one per month. The selection deliberately follows the alphabetical order from A to W and combines this with the natural course of the seasons. The photographs were taken mainly from the air and show the locations as a whole. Instead of individual striking buildings, squares or church motifs, the focus is on the overall view of the respective locality. Each district is depicted from different directions, heights and perspectives – as it presents itself in the interplay of landscape, buildings and surroundings. The motifs are adapted to the course of the year: winter tranquillity, the onset of spring, summer expansiveness and autumnal colours characterise the individual months. Light, weather and atmosphere were deliberately incorporated into the image design to reveal the character of each season. The photographs are not only intended as a documentary representation, but also as a photographic interpretation. The locations were staged as they appear from the perspective of the photographer and artist – with an eye for space, structure and mood.

The result is a year-long companion that shows the municipality of Weimar (Lahn) in all its diversity, togetherness and scenic setting, inviting you to rediscover the districts month by month. Here in the picture is the village of Kehna, taken in March 2025.
