The Kerio volcanic crater is a 6,500-year-old volcanic crater that is no longer active. It is the northernmost crater in a row of craters. It is 270 meters long, 170 meters wide and 55 meters deep. The water in the crater lake has a depth of about 10 meters. In the winters, the crater lake is often frozen.
