On Place Albert in Knokke, Belgium, this magnificent modern architecture, designed by Philippe Samyn & Partners, has risen.
The spherical shape is a technical feat in glass and steel. The Isonode dome consists of a lightweight, self-supporting structure of node connections with a total of 2,211 triangular windows.
The black and white tiles all around, inspired by traditional cathedral floors.
The blue sky gives a fantastic reflection on the glass, as does a setting sun.
