A while ago I met a kookaburra in a zoo. He (or she?) kept staring at me and sat dead still on his branch. I was a bit hypnotized by this amazing bird and took a picture of it to use one day as a reference for a painting. Now the kookaburra is staring at me again, with its colourful feathers, from the canvas.
